Phonetic transcription: maamatsim lehavi lifgishat barak-arafat ha-shavua. Sikhot ha-shalom histayemu emesh be-taba be-hats'hara meshutefet: ''meolam lo hayinu krovim kol kakh le-heskem''; shney ha-tsdadim maskimim: ha-sikhot hayu retsiniyot; bikoret ba-yamin aal ha-nekhonut le-viturim shel barak.
Translation: Efforts this week to bring about a meeting between Barak and Arafat. Peace talks ended yesterday evening in Taba with a joint statement: ''Never have we been so close to an agreement.'' Both parties agree; the talks were serious. Barak criticized by the right for his willingness to make concessions.
